November 3, 1954Otego - Mrs. Ruby D. Palmer, Otego musician, died yesterday at Fox hospital of heart condition after a long illness.
Mrs. Palmer was born in the town of Milford, daughter of Dewett and Clara (Cooke) Deuel. She was married to to D. L. Palmer, who survives, on May 22, 1911. She has been a resident of Otego for 36 years.
She was a member of Portlandville Christian Church and attended the Otego Christian Church. She was a member of Martha Chapter, OES. A talented musician, she had attended Russell Sage College of Music, Troy.
Besides her husband she is survived by several cousins, Mrs. Eva Bartlett, Washington D. C.; Morey J. Hall, Oneonta; Mrs. Henry Kline, Newton Falls, Ohio; T. W. Hall, Worcester; Robert Hall, Oneonta; and Mrs. Vesta Sitts, South Side

October 13, 1959Mr. Palmer died suddenly in St. Petersburg, Fla., on October 10. He was born Dec. 19, 1883, in Westville. He married Ruby Deuel who died Nov. 2, 1954. He married Naomi Currin in April 1956, who survives.
He had lived in Otego for 40 years and had formerly lived in Unadilla and Portlandville. He started a coal and feed business in Otego with Van Ness Sherman in 1918 and when Mr. Sherman sold his business to Mr. Redington, the firm of Redington and Palmer was formed and continued in business until it was sold to the GLF.
Mr. Palmer graduated from Union College, Schenectady, and worked for the New York State Department of Highways as a civil engineer. He affiliated with Otego Union Lodge, Oct. 1, 1920, was master of the lodge from 1925 to 1927 and was district deputy grand master of Otsego-Schoharie District in 1929-30. He was a member of of the Otego Rotary Club and for 38 years was a member of the Otego Voluntary Fire Department and served as chief and treasurer for many years. He served as supervisor of the Town of Otsego for two term.
Surviving beside his wife on St. Petersburg, are two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Weise, Baldwin, and Mrs. Albert Youngs, Delmar; three nieces, an aunt and several cousins.

December 17, 1952Herman A. Pearsall, 78 year old Oneontan, of 21 1/2 Grand St., died Monday at Fox Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past five weeks. He had been ill for three years.
Mr. Pearsall was born Jan. 24, 1874, in Bainbridge, son of James and Mary (Westcott) Pearsall. He married Maud Dodge on Oct. 22, 1905, in Oneonta. He had lived for 60 years in Oneonta, and was a member of Company G. of the State Gaurd.
Surviving is his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Pignatelli, of 21 1/2 Grand St.; two sons, Robert of Laurens and Frank of East pringfield; and four grandchildren.

June 19, 1965Mrs. Maude A. Pearsall, 82 of Westford, died June 17 in Bassett Hospital following a long illness.
Burial will be in Glenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Pearsall was born Jan. 7, 1883 in Albany, daughter of Henry and Alice (Brown) Dodge. She was married in Oneonta in November, 1905, to Herman Pearsall.
For many years she was employed in the cafeteria at Michigan Univesity, Ann Arbor, Mich., from which she retired in 1953. She had lived in Westford for the past ten years.
She is survived by two sons, Robert J. of Westford and Frank H. of Cherry Valley; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Pignatelli, 21 1/2 Grand St.; one sister, Mrs. Minna Simpson 54 Maple St.; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews.

January 23, 1971Robert J. Pearsall, 62, of Westford, a trainman for the Delaware and Hudson Railroad for 29 years, died at Fox Hospital January 22, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Mr. Pearsall was born in Davenport April 20, 1908, son of Herman A. and Maude (Dodge) Pearsall. He married Doris Brightman in Worcester Sept. 15. 1931.
A one time resident of Laurens, he had lived at Schenevus RD (Westford) for 17 years. He was a member of Local 134, United Transportation Union.
Surviving, besides his wife are one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Pignatelli, 21 1/2 Grand St.; a brother, Frank H. Pearsall, Cherry Valley and several nephews, neoices and cousins.

April 24, 2011KNOXVILLE, Md. - Mrs. Doris Pearsall 98, of 19431 Garretts Mill Road Knoxville, MD died April 22, 2011, at her home.
Born December 17, 1912 in Laurens, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Maude Fuller Brightman. She attended Laurens Central School and was a member of the Laurens Methodist Church.
Doris married Robert J. Pearsall on September 15, 1931. They lived and operated a dairy farm in Westford for seventeen years. Following Mr. Pearsall's death in 1971, Doris moved to Orlando, FL where she lived for thirty-five years. Mrs. Pearsall traveled widely with her sister, including trips to the Holy Land, Bavaria, Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Mrs. Pearsall moved to Knoxville, MD in 2006 to live with her niece, Donna Brightman and her family Courtney, Reid and Turner Hirsh.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Robert and Hillary Brightman of Orlando, FL; Ralph and Laura Brightman of Laurens; Donald and Georgia Peet of Sidney, ME; Sharon Swift of Oneonta; and Nancy and Jim Fraize of St. Charles, AR;
Doris was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters; Louise Hare, Juanita Peet, Kendal, Gordon and Donald Brightman.

April 28, 2003SCHENEVUS '97 Marcia Gertrude Pearsall, 91, of Schenevus, died on April 27, 2003, at the Oneonta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Oneonta.
She was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Westford, the daughter of Martin and Gertrude (Gano) Pickard, and was married to Frank H. Pearsall. He died May, 1997. They had been residents of Oneonta, Westford, East Springfield, Cherry Valley and most recently, Schenevus.
Marcia graduated from Westford Union School in 1930 and from Wilson Memorial School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1935. After providing private duty nursing for several years, she was employed in the recovery room at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital for 23 years until her retirement.
Marcia was a member of the Westford (United) Methodist Church, where she was the oldest surviving parishioner. She was also a member of the Schenevus and Cherry Valley Rebekah Assemblies, the Young At Heart, Senior Citizens of Schenevus, United Methodist Women, and the Bassett Hospital Retired Nurses Association.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Robert G. Huntington of Cooperstown; granddaughters, Gracia Huntington, Palo Alto, Calif., and Anne Fielden and her husband, Donald, and three great-grandchildren, Dodge, Elinor, and Samuel Fielden of Louisville, Ky. Also surviving is her older sister, Cora Hilsinger of Worcester; sister-in-law, Doris Pearsall of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and their spouses, Donna and Jack Nagle, Worcester; Joan and Gilbert Henry, Candor; Andrew and Trudy Colvin, Bloomville; Bill and Margery Higgins, Oneonta; Ann and James Rasmussen of Poteet, Texas; Frank Minozzi, York, S.C.; Shat Natel of Newland, N.C.; Oscar and Kay Foutch, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Harold and Harriet Foutch, Cameron, N.C.
A sister, Neva Foutch; and nephews, Robert and Gerald Foutch predeceased her.

November 15, 1936The funeral of Fred A. Coleman, 63, of 124 East Brighton Avenue, who died at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, will be held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the W. A. Fancher Funeral Home, with the Rev. John T. Reeve, pastor of South Presbyterian Church, officiating, burial will be in DeRuyter.
Mr. Coleman, a salesman for the last seven years, died from a heart attack while working. Mr. Coleman formerly was a musician in Syracuse theaters for 25 years, playing at the old Weiting Opera House for 20 years.Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Belle Coleman, two sons, Otis T. Coleman of Rochester and Edson Coleman of Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Cora VanDeusen of Oneonta, and one grandchild.

August 30, 1951Edson F. Coleman, 38, a former Syracusan now living in Dayton O., will enter a Benedictine Monastary at Conception, Mo., next month, to prepare for the priesthood.
Coleman, who was graduated from Syracuse University in 1941, resigned from a civilian position at Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton, where he was employed in the office of the air surgeon, announcing his plans to enter the religious order.
A talented pianist, Coleman prepared for college at Nottingham High School. Enrolling in the College of Fine Arts at Syracuse University, he majored in piano, also studying voice and organ, recieving a baechlor of music degree.
World War II interupted the young man's plans for a musical career. He entered the Air Force in 1942 and was stationed at Wright-Patterson, assigned to the base chaplain's office.
After leaving the service he returned to Syracuse University for graduate work and a refresher course in music. He later taught music in Dayton. In October 1950, he was hired as a civilian employee at Wright-Patterson Field, where he worked until the present time.
Coleman, whose last Syracuse address was 300 Stratford St. is the son of a former clarinetest with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, who at one time played with Pat Conway's concer band.
At the university, young Coleman was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. At least eight years of study lies ahead of him in the Missouri monastary before his ordination into the priesthood.
