52322. Arthur Reed Kneibler Jr.

Arthur Reed Kneibler, 81, of Lake Forest died Aug. 25, 1999. Mr. Kneibler was born during the blizzard of 1918 in Philadelphia and moved to Kenosha, Wis. in 1928. In 1933 he attended the Lake Forest Academy on an academic scholarship. He went on to attend the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he received an undergraduate business degree. He then attended Northwestern University Law School and the University of Wisconsin Law School where he received his degree.

During World War II he served four years in the Navy, retiring with the rank of Lt. second grade. He returned to Chicago where he worked for the Norris Grain Company, followed by 43 years on LaSalle Street. Highlights of his career include various partnerships, including EMKAY Leasing, as well as multiple real estate developments such as the Abbey in Lake Geneva, the Kabak Corporation, and most recently Optima Inc. Mr. Kneibler's generosity of spirit extended into the community and to the organizations which had given to him. He served as Alderman in Lake Forest's 2nd Ward for a number of years. In addition he served various terms on the Board of Governors at Shoreacres where he played a contributing role in the rebuilding of the clubhouse. Mr. Kneibler was totally devoted to Lake Forest Academy. He served two separate terms spanning parts of four decades as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In 1993 he was appointed Chairman Emeritus for his contribution of time, talent and tireless effort on behalf on the school.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Crawford Kneibler; his children, Eleanor Kneibler, Bonnie Downs, Arthur Norris, Margot Calandrino, Nick Kneibler, Marianne Witte and Bruce Thorne; his sister, Mary M. Kneibler of Kenosha; and his three grandchildren.

Beatrice (A/P). Benton M. Davison, 60, farmer near here, was found dead in a motor truck in a pasture near his home Friday. Death was believed to have been caused by heart failure. Members of Davisons family, who found the body when he failed to return early Friday night, said he had complained recently of heart ailments. Gage county attorney Hubka said there will be no inquest.

Hazel N. Davison, 102, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Homestead Nursing Home, Washington.

Hazel was born December 25, 1910 at Warrensburg, Missouri, to Oscar C and Effie (Donnel) Barker. On December 3, 1938 she was united in marriage to Ralph L. Davison at Kansas City, Missouri. They were blessed with two sons.

In June of 1951, they moved to Washington and purchased the grain elevator, where Hazel was the bookkeeper. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was the church organist for many years. Hazel played bridge and belonged to a local bridge club.

Hazel loved traveling and took several trips to Europe.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ralph; son, Herbert; sisters Ruth and Dorothy; and brothers, Paul, William and Claude.

Surviving her is her son Larry of Sedgwick, KS.

OUTDOORSMAN, 90 David R. Jarden, 90, who parlayed his love of the Canadian wilderness into a career as an outdoors photographer and lecturer, died of cancer Tuesday at his home in Huntingdon Valley. Mr. Jarden began shooting movies of his travels in 1941, when he took his wife on their honeymoon to Canada. Later, he would show other movies of the Canadian wilderness to friends

just for fun,'' and they encouraged him to relate his adventures full-time, said his wife of 56 years, Josephine Moyer Jarden. After serving in the Coast Guard during World War II, Mr. Jarden sold paints and varnish for a local company but gave up the job in the late 1940s to pursue traveling and lecturing. Mr. Jarden shot movies of more than 30 travels covering thousands of miles throughout Canada, Alaska, New Zealand and the Rocky Mountains. He recounted his travels at senior centers, schools, museums, libraries, travel clubs and fraternal organizations. He was a graduate of Germantown Academy and attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

He is also survived by three sons, David Jr., John and Charles P. 2d, and two grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Wyncote.

Kermit Asher Drumheller

Kermit Asher Drumheller, 89 of Pleasant View Retirement Community, formerly of Elizabethtown, died Monday, January 23, 2006 at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center.

Born near Sunbury, PA, he was the son of the late George and Ida Eister Drumheller. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ella G. Kerstetter Drumheller who died in 1989.

Mr. Drumheller was a mechanic all of his life and was formerly employed by Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown before owning and operating Drumheller's Garage in Elizabethtown. He was an avid hunter and archer and was a life member of Milton Grove Sportsman Club, the NRA and Big Chiques Bowman. Additionally, he was a member of Loyal Order of Moose #596, Elizabethtown. After retirement, he won several prizes for his woodworking projects.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Palmer, Cloyd, Calvin and Emmanual, and two sisters Gladys Broscious and Blanche Lahr.
Mr. Drumheller is survived by four children, a son, Kermit Alvin, Winchester, VA; daughter, Audrey, wife of Ronald Mitchell, McConnellsburg, PA; son, Carl, Rheems; son, Barry, husband of Joan Drumheller, Ephrata; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Melvin, husband of Donna Drumheller, Northumberland; and two sisters, Dora, wife of the late Arthur Broscious, and Luella, wife of the late Bruce Shipman, both of Sunbury.

Anna Catherine Keener of Redmond died Dec. 2, 1999, in Kirkland. She was 82.

Mrs. Keener was born March 29, 1917, in Marrisville, Pa. After completing high school, she joined the Army in September 1943 and served until receiving an honorable discharge in December 1945. On July 19, 1945, she married Joseph Keener in Washington, D.C., and in 1947 they moved to Redmond.

Mrs. Keener was employed as a nurse's aid and a waitress. She enjoyed reading and was a member of a video club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
