Robert H. Fuchs, age 97, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at Cadbury at Lewes in Lewes, DE. Mr. Fuchs was born in Washington, DC on May 26, 1911 to the late William and Georgia (Barrett) Fuchs.
He began his career with the department of Agriculture after service in the US Army and
retired after 35 years as comptroller for the CIA.He was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church, Mt. Airy, Maryland. He was an avid golfer belonging to MISGA and enjoyed yachting and singing. His memberships over the years included the American Legion, the Chesapeake Yacht Club where he was a lifetime member and former Commodore, member of SPBSQSA Barbershop.
Survivors include his wife of 74 years Aideen Lyon Fuchs, daughters Donna Wilson and Linda Phillips, both of Millsboro, DE; brother Herbert Fuchs of Silver Spring, MD; three grandchildren, Cheri Klunk of Chesapeake City, MD, Jaison Gehauf of Cumberland, MD, Heather Reynolds of Ft. Washington, MD, and 2 great grandchildren Ellie Rose Klunk and Lyon James Reynolds.

September 5, 2001LANSINGBURGH - Oscar C. Barrett, who was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, died Monday at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness. Mr. Barrett, of First Avenue, was 77.
Born in Springfield, Mass., Mr. Barrett was educated in Slingerlands. He served with the Coast Guard. He received the Philippine Liberation Medal, the Presidential Citation and the American Campaign National Defense Medal. Mr. Barrett was a member of the SS Barrett American Legion Post, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 469, the National Association of Atomic Veterans and the Halfmoon American Legion Post 1450. Mr. Barrett worked for the Capital District Transportation Authority, where he was a bus driver for several years. He retired in 1979. He first began his employment with the United Traction Co. Earlier, he was a tractor trailer driver from 1952 to 1969.
His sons, Stephen C. and Stanley H. Barrett, were both killed in action in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Brown Barrett; a son, Howard F. Barrett of Elgin, S.C.; a daughter, Heather Swensen of Lansingburgh; a brother, Charles Barrett of Hampton, N.H.; and a grandson.

June 11, 2007HAMPTON � N. Charles Barrett, 79, of 5 Elaine Street, Hampton, died peacefully Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Hyder Hospice House in Dover following a lengthy decline in health. Mr. Barrett was born May 11, 1928, in Agawam, Mass., the son of the late Oscar C. and Suzie (Wrisley) Barrett. He was educated in the local schools in Agawam. In June 1947, he married his wife of 60 years, Barbara Garton, in Slingerland, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. A truck driver by profession, Mr. Barrett was employed by U.S. Motors in Milford, Conn., and later by LPM Corporation of Chapaqua, N.Y., where he drove for some 23 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Bruce A. Barrett and his wife Vonnie of Moultonboro, Ellen A. Russell and her husband James of Garland, Texas, and Amy L. Ficke and her husband Thomas of Fairfield, Conn.; his grandchildren, Jonathan A. and Jessica L. Barrett of Moultonboro; his sister-in-law, Jean Barrett of Troy, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Oscar C. Barrett, and his nephews Stephen and Stanley Barrett.
