February 17, 1946Watertown - Funeral services for Harlow G. Fralick, 66, of Brownville, who died Thursday at the Mercy Hospital will be held today at 2:30 p.m. from the home of his son Royce T. Fralick, of Brownville. The Rev. Melvin Abson, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Brownville, Will officiate.
Burial will take place in Brownville.

December 18, 1994Royce Talbot Fralick, 85, of 119 Greentree Drive, Forest, Va., a native of Watertown and former mayor of Brownville, died Saturday at his home.
Surviving are a son, Frederic R., Forest; a daughter, Sally May Wilson, Little River, S.C.; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Born May 5, 1909, in Watertown, son of Harlow Grant Fralick and Adelae May Talbott Fralick, he was a graduate of Brownville High School and was employed several years by General Electric in Schenectady. He married Eileen Evelyn Boudiette Jan. 31, 1927, in Grace Episcopal Church, Utica.
Mr. Fralick was mayor of Brownville for more than 20 years, retiring in 1979. He and his wife sold their house at 222 Franklin St., Brownville, that year and moved to Virginia. Mrs. Fralick died Sept. 5, 1993. Mr. Fralick was a 50-year member of the Masonic Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, in Watertown. He was also a member of the Forest Masonic Lodge and past president of the Forest Ruritan Club.

September 8, 1993Eileen Evelyn Fralick, 85, Forest, Va., wife of former Brownville mayor Royce T. Fralick, died Sunday morning at her home.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Fredric R., Forest; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Manfred Boudiette, Florida, and John Boudiette, Suffolk, Va., and two sisters, Cornelia Boudiette, Suffolk, and Sally May Wilson, Little River, S.C. A sister, Edith B. Harron, Gouverneur, died previously.
She was born Nov. 22, 1907, in Watertown, a daughter of Freeall Henry and Alice Jane Roland Boudiette. She was a graduate of Watertown High School.
She married Royce T. Fralick of Brownville in 1927 at Grace Episcopal Church, Utica.
Mrs. Fralick was a homemaker. She was also a former president of the Brownville-Glen Park Parent-Teacher Association. Mr. Fralick served many terms as mayor of Brownville until his retirement in 1979. The couple sold their house at 222 Franklin St. that same year and moved to Virginia.

January 28, 1990Madeline C. Martin, 77, 554 LeRay St., Watertown, was dead on arrival Friday morning at Mercy Hospital after being stricken at home.
She is survived by two sons, James of Watertown, Donald of Brownville; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Brislon, Watertown, Kay Martin, Watertown, and Sharon Bidwell, Theresa; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Martin was born in Brownville Jan. 14, 1913, the daughter of Harlow and May Talbott Fralick. She attended local schools and married Shirley S. Martin Jan. 7, 1936.
Mr. Martin died in 1979.
She was a housewife and was later employed at House of the Good Samaritan in the housekeeping department. She retired in 1978.

May 27, 1998Leland Elbert "Bucky" Talbot, 90, of West Main Street, Earlville, died Sunday at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. Born in Taylor Hill, he was a 1931 graduate of Colgate University. He was the former owner of a farm machinery business in Earlville, retiring in 1974 after 33 years. He was the first New Holland dealer in Central New York.
His wife, the former Mary Sabis, died in 1992; a daughter, Barbara, died previously. Survivor: A son, Thomas E. of Oriskany.

March 4, 1992Mary A. Talbot, 77, of 23 W. Main St., died at home Tuesday after a brief illness.
Born in Utica, Mrs. Talbot moved to Earlville in 1934. She was a member of St. Malachy's Church of Sherburne and its Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Women's and Couple League at Earlville Hi-Skor Lanes bowling alley.
Surviving are her husband, Leland; a son, Thomas of Oriskany; and several nieces and nephews.

March 23, 1966Whitesboro - Services for Lawrence J. Talbot, 55, of 45 Ashwood Ave., who was found dead in his car Monday, will be at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow from the Wells and Lloyd Funeral. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today.
State police said that Mr. Talbot apparently became ill and pulled his car to the side of the road while driving on Middle Settlement Road. He was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Talbot, a reimbursement agent with the State Mental Hygiene Department in Binghamton, was born in Edmeston, attended schools there, and was graduated from Colgate University in 1931. Mr. Talbot moved to Whitesboro in 1961. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Clark Mills American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Casey Talbot; a son, Airman 3-C Kenneth Dean, stationed in Hawaii; two daughters, Sister Lauren Marie, Mount St. Vincent, Halifax, Nova Sco[tia] ... His mother Mrs. Katherine Talbot, Earlville, and two brothers, Leland of Earlville and Dean of Keene, N.H.

May 6, 1955WEST EDMESTON Shirley Delos Talbot, aged 65, Assessor for the town of Edmeston, died at his home in West Edmeston, May 1, 1955. He had been in poor health for several months. Mr. Talbot was President of the local volunteer firemen and a past Noble Grand of Mt. Markham Lodge 1OOF, Unadilla Fork.
He was born in Edmeston Januarry 30, 1890, a son of George Bell and Ada Giles Talbot. He married Ann Duteher on May 4, 1909.
A carpenter by trade, he lived here all of his life and was a member of the Baptist Church and the men's Baracca Class.
He leaves, besides his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Roy Webster, Sherhurne; a son, G. Edward Talbot, West Edmeston, a brother, Elbert Talbot, Earlville, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three nephews and one niece.

April 7, 1996G. Edward Talbot, 83, formerly of Hamilton, died Friday at the Masonic Home in Utica. He was born in Edmeston, Otsego County. He operated a dairy farm in West Edmeston for 35 years and raise registered Holstein cows. He retired in the 1970s and moved to Hamilton.
Mr. Talbot was a graduate of Leonardsville High School and the Excelsior School of Business in Utica. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church, Hamilton.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; a daughter, Barbara Havens of Hamilton; a son, Peter of Rochester; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

May 14, 2009HAMILTON - Kathryn S. Talbot peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital. She was born June 22, 1915 in West Edmeston, N.Y., a daughter of Stuart and Eva Gassman Shatzel and was a graduate of Leonardsville High School. On June 23, 1935, Kathryn married G. Edward Talbot in the West Edmeston Baptist Church. They were married 60 years before Mr. Talbot died in April 1996.
Kathryn was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hamilton. For many years, she was active in choir, teaching Sunday school, Release Time in school, Vacation Bible schools, and hosting Bible studies in her home in West Edmeston, Whitesboro, Concord, Va., and Hamilton. With her husband, she did volunteer work in hospitals and home visitations while they lived in Virginia. She loved having her family with her and enjoyed doing special things for them. She was a great cook and her home was always open to everyone.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Carol and Don Havens of Hamilton; grandsons, Terrence (Christina) Havens of West Winfield, and Jayme Havens and Andrew (Connie) Havens of Oklahoma City; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her son, Peter, in July 2008.

The former Helen Vera Thoureen was born July 14, 1904, in Galesburg, the daughter of Victor E. and Olive Eaton Thoureen. She married Elmer A. Talbot June 2, 1926, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death in January 1974.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, and Moline Moose Lodge 235. She loved playing bingo, going to garage sales, sewing and crocheting for her grandchildren, arts and crafts, and fishing.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Blomgren, Moline; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sally Talbot, East Moline; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnne Niebours.

May 29, 1996GENESEO -- V. Louise Talbot, 85, of Geneseo died Monday, May 27, 1996, at Hammond-Henry Hospital. Born Oct. 27, 1910, in Kewanee to George A. and Esther J. Wiedler McNaught, she married Frank T. Talbot on April 30, 1938, in Muscatine, Iowa. He died May 30, 1983.
Four sisters and four brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Maxine) Stubbs of Erie; one son, Frank of Fulton; two sisters, Mrs. John (Vivian) Ouart and Mrs. Chet (Erma) Barnes, both of Kewanee; three grandchildren; two great- grandsons; and one great- great-granddaughter.
She worked in the sewing department at Boss Manufacturing Co. in Kewanee. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she taught Philathia Sunday School Class for 12 years and was later a member of the Corinthian Class. She was active with the Women's Society of the church. She was a former member of Henry County Home Extension and was an honorary member of Neighborhood Club.
