ed of erysipelas at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. E. Luderman, today. She was born at Ash Grove, Mo., and came to Montana at the age of 18. Among surviving relatives are Otis Talbot of Corvalis and Charles Talbot of Hamilton, sons; Myrtle McDaniels of Hamilton, a sister, and Virgil Moore of Missoula, and Grover Moore of Great Falls, brothers.


Fred Edward Luderman

Gretbull, Wyo - Fred E. Luderman, 72, retired seed company manager, died Tuesday afterrnoon in South Big Horn County hospital where he had been a patient two weeks, Death was attributed to a heart ailment.

Mr, Luderman was born in Butte, Mont., Sept. 20, 1892, son of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Luderman. At the age of 6 he moved with his parents to Bitteroot Valley where he received his education.

He married May Talbot at Missouli, Mont., Nov. 14, 1911. They were first grade pupils together in the bitterroot.

They moved to Hamilton, Mont., whrer he was employed by the Great Western Sugar Co. He was transferred to Bridger, Mont., in 1923.. He worked for Great Western 25 years. In 1929 he moved to Billings and worked for the Michael Leonard Seed Co.

In 1937 he was transferred to Greybull where he was was the company's branch manager.

Mr Luderman was a Mason, member of the Methosit Church and served on Greybull City Council from 1944 to 1948.

Surviving are his widow of Greybull; sons, Glen of Billings and Wallace pf Bountiful, Utah; daughters, Mrs. Lon Stadtfeld of Greybull, Mrs, Phil Ramsey of Buena Park, Calif., and Mrs. Harold Busch of Findley, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mary Alice Talbot, 80, of 10 Birchwood Drive, died Wednesday night in Billings Deaconess Hospital. She had lived in Billings since 1927. She was born Jan. 1, 1896, in Pawnee City, Neb., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs, John Brown. She married James Brewer September 13, 1913, in Fremont, Neb. He died in 1949. She married Elmer Talbot May 14, 1945, in Miles City. They lived in Billings. He died in 1966.
Mrs. Talbot worked as a cook at St. Vincent's Hospital for 6 years. She was a member of Parkhill Assembly of God Church, the Eagles Lodge auxialary, the VFW Auxialary, TOPS Club and senior citizens club.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Alice) Frank of Joliet; two sons, Carlos Brewer of 10 Birchwood Drive and Russell NBrewer of Helena; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Mountainview cemetery.

Otto Anderson, 83, of Timnath, former Weld county resident, died Thursday night at a Fort Collins convalescent home. He had been ill for some time. He came to Colorado with his parents when he was 8 years old. A retired farmer, Anderson, made his home at Evans, Godfrey Bottoms and Severance before moving to Timnath.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ella Anderson; two sons, Boyd Anderson of Tacoma, Wash.; and Otto Anderson of Loveland; five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Dwiggins of Evans, Mrs. Marguarite O'Grady of Fort Collins, Mrs. LaVea Spence of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Geneva Burke of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Bessie Paisley of Kos Angeles; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mrs. H. C. Rasmussen, 5831 Ogden Avenue, died at her home last night following an illness which had endured six years. She had been seriously ill for several months past. Mrs. Rasmussen, who was born in Spring Green, WI., came to Superior in 1891. She had resided in the South End since that time.

Her husband Henry C. Rasmussen, one daughter, Carol, two brothers, Oak Talbot of Osseo, Wis. and Otto Talbot of Tacoma, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Winchester, Tacoma, survive.

Henry C. Rasmussen, 76, of 5831 Ogden Avenue, president of the Greenwood Cemetery Association died Saturday at his residence following a lingering illness. A resident of Superior since 1891, he was formerly employed at the Webster Chair Factory for 35 years and became president of the cemetery association in 1920, Mr. Rasmussen was born at Randolph, May 3, 1873.

He was a charter member of the Fifty-ninth street Methodist Church now know as the Trinity Methodist Church and the Oak Lodge IOOF.

Survivors include a sister Miss Lena K. Rasmussen, Superior, two grandsons, Harold H. and Peter C., Denver Co.

She is survived by daughters, Millie Lee Lewis, Weaverville, Sarah Wood, Hayward, Lindy Groves, Rio Dell, and Barbara Hudson, Red Bluff, and many grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the graveside for Warnie Baker Martin, 1104 W. Elm, who died Wednesday, aged 49. Chaplain L. E. Cousins officiated.

Burial was in the Veterans of World War II plot in Mountain View cemetery.

George William Winchester, 81, who was night chief clerk for the Northern Pacific Railroad when he retired in June, 1938, after 37 years of service for the line, died Tuesday in a local hospital. His home was at So. 56th and Orchard Sts.

Born in Wisconsin, Mr. Winchester came to Tacoma in 1901 and went to work for the N. P. the same year.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Isa Lois Maxwell and Miss. Mildred Loraine Winchester, both of Tacoma; six sons, Arthur B., Lorne L., Don C., George William Jr. and Ernest, all of Tacoma, and Harry W. of Seattle; two brothers Mel, and Charlie of Chetek, Wis.;  two sisters in Detroit and 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Elsie Victoria Winchester, 88, a resident of the Tacoma area since 1912, died Thursday. Mrs. Winchester was born in Lancaster, England. She was an Episcopalian.

Survivors include three sisters, Betty Nygard of Barnesville, Minn., and Elsie Edwardsen and Mae ChristKautz, both of Tacoma; nine grand children and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Maxwell was born in Washburn, Wis., and moved to Tacoma 60 years ago. He was a retired employee of Mountain View Sanitarium ans a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; three sons, Milton S. of Fullerton, Calif., Richard Eugene, of Tacoma, and Dale C., of San Jose Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Abbott, of Tacoma; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

COLUMBUS QUARTER - Floyd Sholes of Columbus and mother, Mrs. Sholes, were callers here Thursday, on their return from attending the funeral of Mrs. William Chase at Unadilla Forks.

Mrs. Chase will be remembered as Jessie Byer, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. William Byer. The late Rev. Byer was pastor of the Quarter church several years ago.

Mrs. Chase leaves a husband, William Chase; one son and her mother, Mrs. Byer. Other relative and friends mourn her passing and much sympathy is felt for the family in their sorrow.

The death of Samuel Dye occurred at the Parshall Hospital, Oneonta, last Tuesday afternoon. He was taken ill Monday afternoon and rushed to the hospital. He was born at Leonardsville, August 23, 1866, son of Daniel and Ernestine Talbot Dye.

He was a graduate of the Leonardsville school and also attended the Utica School of Commerce. Mr. Dye was married September 22, 1888, to Miss Mary Arnold, who survives. He was a charter member of the Wharton Valley Grange and the Second Baptist church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Howard P. Talbot; two grandchildren, Vane and Betty Talbot; his mother and three sisters, Mrs. George Bradley of Geneva, Mrs. Eugene Burdick and Mrs. Earl Burdick of Leonardsville.

Interment in the Union cemetery.


Mary C. Arnold

Mrs. Mary Dye, aged 98, a life-long resident of Edmeston, died Monday, December 20, at the Ratcliffe Rest Home in Laurens, after an illness of three months. Mrs. Dye was born December 29, 1866, in Edmeston, the daughter of Morris and Carmelia (Chase) Arnold.

She was married to Samuel Dye on September 28, 1887. Mr. Dye passed away in 1933. She was the eldest member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Edmeston and a charter member of the Wharton Valley Grange.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Irene Talbot of Edmeston; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


Burial will be in Edmeston Union Cemetery.
