Cooperstown - Mrs. Lulu E. Dyer, 88 formerly of Schuyler Lake, died Sund
ay morning at the Radcliff Rest Home, Laurens, where she had resided for two years.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, in Ingalls Funeral Home, Cooperstown, with the Rev. Stanley Smith, pastor of Richfield Springs Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Schuyler Lake cemetery.
Mrs. Dyer was born Aug. 25, 1876 at Schuyler Lake, daughter of Hiram and Freelove (Rose) Smith. She was married to H. Lysle Dyer Feb. 5, 1905. He died April 21, 1960.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Floyd Wayman of Hartwick; two step-grandchildren, Douglas Wayman, Hartwick, and Dean Wayman, Cooperstown; four step-great grandchildren; a niece Mrs. Clyde Smith, Gilbertsville; two nephews, Charles V. Morris of Gilbertsville, and Herman H. Pratt, Richfield Springs, and a cousin, Mrs. Rose M. Veber, Washington, D.C.

Duane Samuel Chase, 74, dairy farmer, who was found dead June 12, 1950, in his home two miles east of West Edmeston, was born March 4, 1876, in Edmeston, a son of Eugene and Roseltha Dyer Chase. He married Della Van Wagner in 1896. He had lived in his farm home for the past 30 years. He leaves his wife, three sons, Stuart, Burlington Flats; Ivan, Detroit; and Roger, Leonardsville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Edmeston Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Duane Chase. Mrs. Della Chase, aged 84, died Thursday at her home in Burlington Flats after a brief illness. She was born May 31, 1876, in the Town of Burlington, the daughter of Andrew and Frances (Brown) Van Wagner. She attended local schools and in 1896 was married to Duane Chase. Mr. Chase died in June 1950. Mrs. Chase attended the Burlington Flats Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Stuart W. Chase of Burlington, Ivan Chase of Detroit, and Roger Chase of Leonardsville; one niece and several cousins.

Burial was in Edmeston Union Cemetery.

Howard A. Wells, 82, 23 St Charles St., Johnson City, died at 9:50 p. m. Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kittle Wells, Johnson City; two daughters, Mrs. Elmo G. (Alberta) Wilcox, Vestal, Mrs. Walter E. (Marjorie) Hoppes, San Jose, Cal.; a son, Roger H. Wells, Johnson City; a sister. Miss Myra Wells; Johnson City; a nephew, seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren. He was a retired engineer of GAF Corp., retiring after 39 years of employment.

New Berlin - Benjamin F. Davis, 76, of South Edmeston, died at Chase Memorial Hospital Friday following a long illness.

Mr. Davis was born in the Town of Pittsfield Nov. 21, 1888, the son of Frank and Addie (Talbot) Davis. He married Antoinette Davis on Sept. 12, 1914. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, William F. Davis, Winston Salem, N.C.; Frederick T. Davis, Bagdad, Iraq; two grandchildren, one brother, Chester Davis, New Berlin.
