March 1, 2004NORWICH -- Dorothy (Warner) Babbitt, 89, of Norwich, died Saturday at Westview Nursing and Rehab Center in Dayville. Mrs. Babbitt was born October 13, 1914 in Bridgeport, CT., a daughter of John and Nina (Webster) Warner. She married the late Percy D. Babbitt June 2, 1934 in Norwich, CT.
Mrs. Babbitt was a member of the Central Baptist Church, was active in the local chapters of the Business and Professional Womens Club and Companions of the Foresters of America and the AARP, holding offices in all, including State Treasurer for the AARP.
Survivors include daughter, Evelyn Cawthon of Terrell, Texas; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Babbitt of Norwich; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Percy Babbitt and by her son, Edgar Babbitt.

April 27, 2000BABBITT, HELEN D., 103, of Clearwater, formerly of Brandon, died Monday (April 24, 2000) at Glen Oaks Health Care Center, Clearwater. She came to the Limona/Brandon area in 1919 from her native New York City and moved here several years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Limona Village United Methodist Church, and a charter member and past worthy matron of Linsley Chapter 152 OES.
Survivors include a daughter, Olive Swilley, Largo; a son, John, Brandon; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
